Authorization of Domains
To serve a yFiles for HTML-powered application from an Internet/Intranet domain, a domain license key is needed that authorizes the domain. The domain license key must be embedded into the application.
For authorization of the Internet/Intranet domains covered by the yFiles for HTML license types
described above, the domain names have to be specified in the License Order.
The domain license keys included with each of the yFiles for HTML license types are Single Domain
License Keys.
For authorization of additional Internet/Intranet domains, the following types of domain license keys are available:
- A Single Domain License Key authorizes one (1) additional Internet/Intranet domain that has to be specified in the License Key
Order.
It covers serving multiple applications from the specified domain.
A Single Domain License Key is valid for the specified Internet/Intranet domain (e.g. myDomain.com) and all its sub-domains (e.g. myApp.myDomain.com, myTestSite.myDomain.com, etc.). - An Unrestricted Domains License Key authorizes an unrestricted set ('*') of Internet/Intranet domains. It covers serving one specified application from an arbitrary number of domains.
Note: For OEM-like distribution of a yFiles for HTML-powered application, or the special case where
an application needs to be served 'locally', i.e. from localhost
, instead of from an Internet/Intranet domain, an Unrestricted Domains License Key is needed.
